  • 1 cup Snack gourd pieces
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 3 Green chilies
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp Bengal gram
  • 1 Red chili
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  1. Wash and chop the snake gourd into round pieces or as you like it. Cut green chills and ginger into small pieces and crush them with pestle and mortar. 

  2. Heat a pan with oil, add mustard seeds, when seeds pop add urad dal and bengal gram and let them turn red.

  3. Now add red chili, crushed green chili and ginger, and curry leaves. Toss them for few seconds.

  4. Add snake gourd pieces, salt and turmeric and saute for 2 minutes. Sprinkle some water and close the lid.

  5. When the snake gourd softened, switch off the flame and let it cool.

  6. Whisk the yogurt and add salt, seasoned snake gourd and combine well.

  7. That's the quick snake gourd yogurt chutney, Serve it with rice!
